Handmade limestone beads

I have been inspired by other artist who sell their how to books in Michael's. I often dreamed that one day that might be me :) Until then i've been experimenting with cold porcelain clay othewise know as air dry craft clay. I want to learn how to manipulate it as much I would with polymer clay. Since i've stopped using polymer clay and fell in love with cold porcelain clay I've been experimenting to find out what can be done with air dry clay and how far i can go in terms of manipulating the clay to imitate gemstones. Well I first told you about marbling which turned out really nice and was stumbled upon by accident but now I think i've learned how to make faux limestone beads with cold porcelain clay. check out a few pics. I designed the beads with 18kt liquid gold. :)

  1. Hi Stacie, I love the color variation that you've created in these pretty green beads. I truly hope someday you will be able to publish a How To book on the craft that you enjoy doing with such passion. BTW I also love the bright yellow beads - they remind me of candy lemon drops - only much prettier. :)

Your blog looks really great, very fresh and bright and appealing, is it new? Why I ask is that it does not have a followers gadget on it. Yes, I realize that some Bloggers prefer not to have one and would rather have people subscribe by email but it may be a good idea to include a followers gadget for those people who would prefer not to subscribed via email. It's only a suggestion, as I would love to be a follower. :)

  2. Hi Thank you so much for your kind words it's greatly appreciated :) as for the follower's gadget i had no idea that there was't one on it. infact I thought people could just "follow?" automatically I didn't know i had to check off a follow gadget. I recently created this blog. I have a blog on wordpress but noticed that blogger seems to be more popular :) I will definitely try to figure out how to get people to follow me. I definitely would love some followers :)
